8 – 10 slices thick cut bacon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup granular sweetener
1 teaspoon sf maple syrup
2 egg whites
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Put bacon on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes and drain grease. Mix pecans, sweetener, maple and egg whites until the mixture is frothy. Evenly spoon pecan mixture on each bacon slice. Bake for 20-25 more minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Check it often toward the end. Drain on paper towels. It will crisp more as it cools. **baking time will vary depending on the quality and how thick your bacon is. **I used Lakanto maple flavored syrup. **Whatever sweetener you use make sure it’s granular to get the right consistency.
